13:33 can't have support real quick here just go can of support here and see oh there is um there are a few questions here we had taliz in the house last time he he dropped a bunch of questions on me one weekend he was just like asking all these things and I was answering all these things one thing I thought that was interesting um was this one I just I just go over this question real quick here it says uh would adding soap to maintenance spray be uh make it better absorbed by plants given its wetting properties or would the calcium in

14:10 the water make it hard and render it useless um and I I answered it here and I just said soap's ability to sud or act as a surfactant is significantly cut by vinegar. And I find that there are diminishing returns of using soap in the maintenance formula. A light mist spray at the proper amount of 25 gallons per acre will be absorbed quite well by the plants. And the soap will only be really benefit if you're over spraying to wet instead of mist the plant surface. So, you know, if you're, if you're heavily over spraying and then, you know, that

14:50 wetting, that spreading out makes, it makes a difference, but that means you're applying more than you should per gallon per acre. Uh, you know, the recommended spray is 25 gallons per acre. So it's not going to make a huge difference of spreading out on the leaf. It's going to be hit the leaf surface surface pretty well and spread out. So this is even true, you know,

15:08 So adding a soap, adding a wetting agent, not necessarily necessary for the thing, especially the maintenance formula or any KNF solution that has vinegar in it, which is pretty much everyone except for the harvest formula, I believe. I don't know that the harvest formula has vinegar in it. And in my practice, it seems superfluous and extraneous cost to use soap for anything besides pest control.

15:34 I think it's better investment as getting the proper spraying equipment and to put out the proper doses and make the job as easy as possible to do it more frequently than trying to add more to the formulations. So I'm pretty biased on doing it textbook standard. You know, of course, if you come take the training, you know that the textbook is just a guidance and you being the farmer knowing exactly how to modify and add these solutions in there properly. um but that um you know following following what it said instead of trying to make things better

44:37 and getting it. And so what I wanted to do was to put this white stuff under the loop because I wasn't sure if this was a bug. He was saying it was white fly and I didn't believe him. So I wanted to put this through the loop. So I'm looking through the loop at 10 times to look at that. And to me, it looks like powdery. It's a fungus, right? The powdery mildew type of thing. And this was, you know, powdery mildew. So I have a loop as part of the Jadam kit, looking at it and you can really zoom in to see what you're looking at. Is it a bug? Is it a little

45:10 leaf sucker? Is it a white fly? And that's just looking at the disease close up. So what they wanted from me is sulfur, but what I ultimately think they need to do is to put more microbes down there because they're having these types of problems. And so I think they really need to do some more Korean natural farming stuff, get that things down there and, um, and to learn, you know, to really address their health problems. They're, they're running into nutritional problems because they're monocropping. So they need to do more, uh, that, and then they wouldn't have the

45:45 disease. However, they do have the disease and they need to, uh, you know, they're pretty far down. So if they did hit it with sulfur and then they came back with the nutrients and all the microbes and they did that way, it's probably going to be a benefit to them, especially since their commercial operation and their, um, you know, money's on the line. So, uh, I'm right now I'm trying to import sodium hydroxide and it's like costs hundreds of dollars because it's a toxic substance to get here. It's hard to ship dangerous things to Hawaii. Um, so anyway,

And one thing is that they're doing a backpack spray over like five acres. And one of the ways to get disease like that is to do a backpack spray over five acres. You just, just get a sprayer and spray. Like, I don't know why they don't invest in the right spraying equipment. So, um, yeah, I would, I would spend money on the correct spraying equipment and get out there to spray it to make it make it a quick easy like one hour job once a

And it's like, yeah, you can. Um, but it looks like, you know, this black spot on

So it's a fungal disease that's, that's hitting their kava plants and, uh, and then also the powdery mildew. So they're having huge fungus issues. So the sulfur and soap will knock it back, but then they need to come in with the goods to make sure that they're putting good microbes back because you don't want to just clear out the bad and then leave it. You want to then put back in the good.

49:29 So today we're going to get into number five here, which is canker, black spot, pear rust, brown blotch disease. So this looks like this is also applicable for what we're talking about today. Let me put this like that so I can see what I'm doing. Okay, yeah. So we're going to cover this. This also is applicable to what they're doing. So this one here is the Jadam wetting agent 5 liters and the Jadam sulfur at 1.5 liters mixed into 500 liters of water. So those are those prepared solutions

50:14 mixed into 500 liters of water. So that looks like the soap is a 1 to 100 ratio and then the sulfur is much lighter than that. Yeah. So, and that's not an even division so I'm going to have to carry things. I can't do that in my head right now. I'm not a computer. So it says apply every seven days or so. If disease spreads fast, apply every two to three days. If pepper canker is serious, increase the soap to 10 liters. Meaning that's, oh my gosh. So instead of five liters, 10 liters, you're going to double the amount of soap and increase the sulfur to two

51:01 liters. Meaning you just not double that, but add more sulfur in and then apply every two days. So if you really got a disease like a canker, which here's the canker photo. It's that pepper there that just looks like, oh, just it's rotting. This is what Chris Anthony was talking about, but he conquered it by just using the maintenance solution, where his peppers just melt overnight in these black and brown spots and all these things. So for pear rust, it is effective to apply around 11 a.m. on a clear day. So if you're trying to deal with the black spots,

So can of support, search for healing, you know, or bark or something, sunburn and you can learn how to do that if someone tells you to destroy your plant how the
