Community Chat
Real-time messaging for Pure KNF Foundation members
The Foundation runs a community chat at chat.pureknf.org using Rocket.Chat, an open-source messaging platform. It's where members connect between meetings, share photos from the garden, ask quick questions, and get Zoom links for upcoming online meetings.
Think of it like a members-only group chat — organized into channels by topic, with the full history searchable so nothing gets lost.
Getting Started
Sign in to your account
Use the same email and password you use to sign in here on pureknf.org. The chat uses Single Sign-On, so your Foundation account works automatically.
Visit chat.pureknf.org
Go to chat.pureknf.org and click "Login with Pure KNF". You'll be signed in with your Foundation account.
Join channels
Click the search icon or "Find Channels" in the sidebar to browse available channels. Join the ones that interest you — you can always leave or join more later.

Quick Tips
- Use @username to mention someone directly — they'll get a notification.
- Use threads (click "Reply in Thread" on a message) to keep conversations organized.
- Click the star icon on important messages to bookmark them for later.
- Drag and drop images or files directly into the chat to share them.
- Having trouble signing in? Make sure you have a Foundation account first.
