Tree Whitewash, Kaolin Clay for Apple Maggot Fly, Calcium Phosphate
Drake opens from Hilo with the I Ching hexagram 56, the Wanderer, and talks current events before turning to farm questions.
On tools: he prefers a power-scythe hedge-trimmer attachment (the Stihl/Efco Combi system) over a string trimmer for chopping brush, and says weed whacker rubber parts wear out in a year or two. His backup plan is learning blacksmithing to forge scythes from old truck leaf springs.
On fruit trees: whitewash can be made with kaolin or bentonite clay mixed with IMO, or Master Cho's method of an oatmeal paste stirred with IMO-4 and rubbed on bark to help it heal. Kaolin clay also blocks apple maggot fly but cuts into photosynthesis, so Drake would rather fix the underlying calcium deficiency and spray the fruit, not the leaves.
On calcium: use calcium and calcium phosphate together when both are called for, since calcium builds structure and calcium phosphate carries reproduction signals. He'd use both together on a fruiting persimmon tree. The episode closes with archive footage of a multilingual Q&A session with Master Cho in Muju, Korea.
Questions answered
- 25:36 What's the best tool to cut grass or brush if fuel or lawnmower parts get expensive? — Drake prefers a power-scythe hedge-trimmer attachment (the Stihl/Efco Combi system) over a string trimmer for chopping and dropping.
- 32:00 How much sugar should you stockpile for Korean Natural Farming ferments? — Drake keeps none stored himself, but figures a listener's 300 pounds would carry several seasons of ferments.
- 33:55 Weed whacker rubber parts die within a year or two, what's the fix? — Rebuild worn units from spare parts now, and learn blacksmithing to forge scythes from old truck leaf springs for the long run.
- 39:29 How do you make whitewash for fruit trees? — Mix kaolin or bentonite clay with IMO, or use Master Cho's oatmeal paste stirred with IMO-4 and rubbed on bark to help it heal.
- 42:15 Does kaolin clay on apples help with apple maggot fly? — It works but cuts into the tree's photosynthesis, so Drake would rather treat the underlying calcium deficiency and spray the fruit, not the leaves.
- 44:18 Should calcium and calcium phosphate be used together or kept separate? — Use them together when both are called for: calcium builds structure, calcium phosphate carries the reproduction signal.
- 45:45 Which calcium input should you use on a fruiting persimmon tree? — Use both calcium and calcium phosphate together, especially once the fruit is setting.

2:00 Hey, welcome to Office Hours for Korean Natural Farming, Korean Natural Farming podcast coming to you live from Hilo, Hawaii. It's 9am here. So whatever time it is where you are, great. Good to be with you. June 22nd, 2025 and World War 3 is well underway. First, like to start by just apologizing to all the Iranian people. There's a little unhinged craziness going on for you guys. Craziness. Sorry about that. You know, I just want to live in peace and have people grow their own food and, you know, war is inevitable, I think. But this is just crazy.
2:46 So anyway, here in Iran, sorry. Wild, wild, wild shit going on. So with that, you know, before we got an hour to ask any Korean natural farming questions, never a better time to prepare your gardens than World War 3. So getting your, you know, gardens together so when supply lines inevitably shatter, you'll be able to survive and thrive, hopefully, and rebuild a better, more peaceful planet. Or at least, you know, maybe you'll thrive. I don't know. War is inevitable. Not saying, like, can't we just all get along and have peace.
3:31 But just slaughtering people in Gaza and Lebanon and Syria and Iran and just us over here, like, you know, you wouldn't even know the world's changed. But over there, it's just bombing. It's just disgusting. It's disgusting. It really is. So with that, you know, with that out of the way, maybe you disagree. That's fine. What we can agree on, though, is growing food and keeping good animals and living the way God intended us. You know, thou shall not kill. You know, I mean, you got to kill, you know, animals. You got to kill plants.
4:16 You got to kill microbes. You know, it's kind of a paradox. But also, you know, I didn't really want to get super political. But I also just, it's crazy. It's crazy. And I'm pretty sad about it. So anyway, I don't, you know. What I did want to do is move on to getting a bit of higher wisdom. Because I think that will probably help settle a lot of what I'm feeling down. So let's go there. And so today, today is the Wanderer, which is a good one for today. I wonder that YouTube's being censored.
5:02 I see it spinning over there. You can't say things against the Empire. They will censor you. So today is the Wanderer, which is a good one. Because it's like, you don't know. You really don't know. And we'll get into it. So all are Wanderers in the unknown. Those who travel beside the Sage are protected from harm. A person who travels as a stranger in a strange land is wise to display an attitude free of arrogance or belligerence.
5:49 Otherwise, he is liable to meet with trouble and find himself unable to survive it. With this hexagram, the I Ching reminds us we are all strangers in a strange land. Wanderers in a vast and unknowable universe. Obliged to act accordingly. Think of how you would proceed if you were traveling alone in unfamiliar country. You would be cautious and reserved, taking great care not to fall in with the wrong people or enter dangerous places. You would be tolerant of others and generous toward them if a dispute arose.
6:38 You would be inclined to settle disagreements quickly and keep them from getting out of hand. You would rely on your attentiveness and your modest attitude and your gentle manner to keep out of harm's way. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant.
11:10 You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. You would be tolerant. But being the aggressor, I don't know. I just, I wish this, you know, this message right here would get out to a larger audience of like The Wanderer. It's number 56. It's in the I Ching. You want to look it up. You want to post it around. You want to share it. I just think it's the hard hitting truth of this, this belligerence, belligerence, absolute belligerence that's happening is, it's going to be a downfall.
11:46 If America wasn't already in a severe downfall of homelessness and people thinking fentanyl is an answer and being addicted to drugs and mindless consumerism and addicted to our phones and disconnected from nature and all these things, I just think that we're in for a huge shakeup in the world and I hope to God that it is peaceful and that each of you learns natural farming in a way that you can be that beacon of hope in your community because the internet may not be here forever and this global networking that we have and this opportunity
12:33 to come together and this amazing thing that even, you know, even these microchips that powering this connection right now that have come from Taiwan may not be as available in the future and I'm not like doom predicting or anything. I'm just like looking at trends and I'm just like telling you that, telling me, telling myself that right now is a very nice, calm, peaceful thing for where I'm at. If I was in Iran, I don't think I'd be saying the same thing. If I was in Gaza, I don't think I'd be saying the same thing.
13:07 Time to prepare and to learn and to download this knowledge and to put it into your heart and to connect to the higher spirit and to become a messenger for natural farming in your area because as energy becomes harder to come by, which one way or another it's going to, whether the AI sucks it all up and the AI is using more of it and it becomes harder for you to get energy because it's all going to cat GPT, cat Jippity. As energy becomes more and more scarce, learning the Madadj stuff, learning that low power natural farming
13:49 where basically just have a bucket and a machete is going to be hugely vital. And then also learning Joe's methods of using the sugar, which is, which would be much harder to come through in a collapsed global economy. But having the sugar to know how to ferment, knowing the nine core solutions and what they do and why they're there and how to use them. It's just like having a hammer and a level and a tape measure. You have to have the tools to build things and knowing, you know, you could use the tape measure as your hammer, but you sure as shit are better off to have a hammer to use a hammer.
14:29 So understanding the nine core solutions in the way that these are the nine basic tools to build prosperity and a garden and to feed people. And you may not be able to have the perfect hammer, but you can use Madadj and understand how all these things fit together. So that as energy becomes more scarce, which it seems to be doing each day. I mean, I don't think they're making more of it and we're burning it like crazy to do just insane things like bomb each other and to burn it all in AI, which, you know, for better, for worse, they're like, we're going to figure out how to make people healthy
15:05 by burning all the energy through AI. And it's like, turn off the TV, get out to the garden and health will return. You know, start doing natural farming, start, you know, working your body this way. Health will return. You know, it's like, we're going to figure it out. We're going to cure cancer. It's like, stop eating processed foods, start eating food from your garden. Start eating food that's grown with great microbiomes. Start replenishing the soil around you. Make the soil deeper. Make the water more abundant in your soil with biochar and microorganisms.
15:39 You don't need an AI to tell you that, you know, which, you know, you just need nature here. Yeah, you know, so, you know, little ranty here. Little bit of just, you know, on my chair pulpit talking out. But I really just think that, you know, right now, right now's the time, you know, and thank God for these chips. Thank God for YouTube. Thank God for these things that this connection that we're able to have. That, you know, I feel like Master Cho, you know, and all his stuff, he gave this to me.
16:18 Now I'm able to give it to you to disseminate this around the world and you and us and we all have to be beacons of light to bring this knowledge around. Because there are other things out there that will help. But this, this understanding how to produce food with nothing. You know, you can talk to other people and be like compost, permaculture, great.
16:37 But having the nine tools to do that, you know, to build, to really build a society and to create a healthy microbiome, to create productive food systems is sort of like the, you know, it's, it's, it's the, it's the road, the androids you've been looking for. You know, these are the droids you've been looking for. This is like, this is, this is a huge vital component. If you know whether you're just going to like do okay, or you're going to thrive.
17:09 And so getting that, sharing that, being able to be, you know, while we're networked, while we have these connections before our internets get shut off these things. And I'm not saying like, oh, it's going to happen or fearful or like the sky is falling. I mean, bombs are falling. Rockets are falling. Rockets are falling. I do feel like World War Three has been underway for a while. It is a huge propaganda campaign. It is a battle for your mind. It's also going to turn violent and be a battle for your body.
17:42 And, and also, you know, if, if, if they do the fucking stupidest thing on earth and they go nuclear, this is one of the quickest ways to revive the earth from a nuclear catastrophe is using microorganisms. And biochar. Biochar and microorganisms will suck up the nutrient, the radioactive material. They will, they will divide it apart. They will make it safe. You can culture microbes that are extremophiles and used to high levels of radiation. You can spread them on the land. They will regenerate the land faster than anything else. Um, and, and bring it back to a state of fertility.
18:19 That's microorganisms and biochar. And then you have to use the maintenance solution with food, medicine, cleanser structure to spray on them, to accelerate them, to help them do their job. Um, and this is the best way to remediate the earth. So if they do go that way, and then you have these tools, uh, you can then remediate your area quicker and maybe your children will then have, uh, your children and your children's children will then have less, um, genetic deformities from the radiation. Um, you know, so this is really a hopeful thing for the world.
18:55 Just, um, you know, knowing this knowledge, getting it out there, spreading it. Um, I don't know. I feel like here's a chance and I'm not sure how much longer this will last. I mean, hopefully we'll have thousands more office hours. Hopefully I'll just, you know, the, uh, um, enlightened leaders will rise to the top and we will stop our petty fighting with each other. I, I don't, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Our, our, our, I don't, I don't, I don't, you know, our cheap shot fricking bombing people. What the fuck? Oh, bro. Like I, yeah. I mean, what the fuck?
19:36 Oh, anyway. Okay. Let's, uh, let's get back to the office hours. There's a lot of good people here. Thanks for your, uh, thanks for being here. I don't want to just like be like, or, you know, we got a steward of Jesus. Heck yeah. Eyewitness down in Florida. What's up? Um, we got agro-syntrop. You sound like a Brazilian, a syntropic agriculture. If you're in Brazil and you're not doing syntropic ag, what are you doing with your life? Uh, we got Western Australia. Cecily, what's up? The most amazing person regenerating Western Australia.
20:14 Um, if more people tuned into Cecily, Western Australia would no longer be a desert. It would be a thriving paradise for koalas. Um, so, uh, all one same. What's up? B. Hendricks. Hendricks. What's up? Yeah. Respect. Um, Rainbow Possum. Yo, Washington, Seattle. What's up? Big West. We got Canadians in the house. What's all that aboot? It's all aboot love, man. If you were, um, a Rasta Canadian. It's all aboot love. The herbal healing. Um, all it takes sucks, but you gotta know what's going on.
20:59 Time moves fast these days. Avoid boisterous vexations. Keep your mind pure in this whole thing, you know? All this wild stuff, you know? There's so much propaganda, so much fake news for every source. It's just like, it's so, it's gonna be so hard to know what's real. Especially with AI coming up and all this stuff. And you can't even tell. They're, they're tight. Rrr, rrr, rrr, rrr, rrr, rrr, rrr, rrr. I tell you, if you haven't read The Art of War, go ahead, read it. Go to LibriVox.org and listen to The Art of War. Read it and repeated by Myra Fogarty in Ontario, Canada.
21:35 Um, go listen to The Art of War. Because it is all about deception and spies. And when I see what's going on, I understand. Deception. Right? You know, it's deception is what it's all about. And everything you see on the media and everything, just basically assume the opposite. Deception is out there. And it, like, it is The Art of War. The Art of War is deception. It's right in the first chapter. And, uh, shout out to Myra Fogarty. Uh, you know, love your voice. Wherever Myra is. Give her a hug from me. If you're in Ontario and you find Myra Fogarty. Yeah.
22:12 Um, teach, you know, give her some of your OHN. Your, your, your KNF medicine. She deserves it. She needs to keep her voice in top shelf shape. Um, and that's the thing. That's the thing about the internet, right? You can get these gifts from people you've never met. And it's like amazing. YouTube, uh, LibriVox.org. Um, you know, red. Oh, it's red and recorded by Myra Fogarty. Um, you know, uh, these, these things are like at our fingertips and without the internet going down and without peace and without cooperation and without love. It is amazing.
22:51 And if you, it, you know, another thing that blows my mind is as an American, I was so propagandized to hate the Middle East when I was in high school and stuff. That's when 9-11 happened. I was a sophomore in high school and I thought, Oh yeah, you know, kill all those. They attacked us, kill them. I realized those people that like, like 99.9999999% of them are just chill. Just like you are just chill. And, um, I watched this guy, Mikey. Okay. And, uh, if you haven't, if you don't check out that channel, do that.
23:23 He, he right now, uh, was just in Pakistan and Lebanon and like, and he traveled through Iraq. And like these people, these folks are so nice that they're like, let me buy you a bottle of water. Let me give you a free taxi to this guy. That's like British. Right. And his dad was there bombing him. And it's like, you know, I, I just talk about turning the other cheek. Like I would, I was telling my dad yesterday, I was like, okay. I would think that those people, it's like a British guy. Oh, let's, let's, let's slit his throat and shit down his, down his windpipe. You know?
23:55 Um, like they, they, they would be angry from just the hell and destruction that we've brought to those countries for, for, um, you know, I don't know. It's political. You know, who knows, who knows, who knows, but I would just think there would be just immense anger, but they're not, they're like super nice. They're super chill. And I think that we get propagandized to think that I, I, I, yeah, America, it's like the Middle East is threatening us. It's like, what, what? Like who, who point to the guy, point to the guy. And then let's just, let's just, let's just be nice to that guy.
24:30 Let's just feed him. Just give him the love that he needs. Like who, who, right? You know, versus bombing campaigns. Ah, anyway, I, the only thing we should be dropping on them is seed bombs and microorganisms and love. And, you know, yeah, I guess, I guess they don't want pigs, but I was like, give them a bunch of pigs. They probably don't want a bunch of pigs, but whatever. Give them a bunch of goats and sheep or whatever, you know, like let's breed goats and sheep. Um, yeah, seed availability is scary too. Um, seed availability.
25:09 Like, you know, and I don't recommend just keeping a bunch of seeds. What I recommend is growing the plants and getting them to go to seed and keeping your seeds rotating and cycling and have your own seeds. Because yeah, Johnny seeds. Uh, what's the other one? Um, Johnny. Territorial. Territorial. What a funny thing. That's my territory. Uh, the, all those, they could just go away with a snap, you know? Um, I mean the U S postal service, the fact that we can get this stuff, I mean, you just need one port to be bombed in the whole world shifts.
25:45 I mean, and we're bombing ports and it's like, what are we doing? Um, so learning to scythe very soon. Should a lawnmower parts become expensive or grass too expensive? Learn. I earn by scything. Scything. Scything. Yeah. Scything's okay. I just, oh man. Uh, my honest opinion is it would be easier to, um, refine ethanol and get your weed whacker to run on ethanol and weed weed whacking. Weed whacking I'm not into. Let me, let me just, let me go to this tab over here and, um, let me go still, um, combi. Oh, let me just, cause I tell you weed whacking, weed whacking is, um, I'm not a huge fan.
26:36 So let me transition over here and let me show you. So my favorite, one of my favorite farm tools and a tool that I always, when I always go over to people and, and I, and I see them weed whacking, I'm like, what are you doing? Get this. Like, like this is your power scythe, this type of thing where you have an articulated hedger. Like almost everything you can do is done better with this. I will see people out there with like cutting down bushes and things. And it's like this, like weed whacking string trimmer.
27:12 And, uh, you know, there, there's a, there's a place for edging things and like getting close to things. And, but almost always in agriculture, this is going to be your tool. Just chop and drop and cut it down. Um, you know, and people will say a scythe is better than a weed whacker. And there'll be like, you know, a weed whacker versus scythe challenges. Give me one of these versus someone with a scythe. And, oh, bro, like you, you can just, you can, you put it through, you drag it just like a scythe. It is a power scythe. This thing goes through like nobody's business.
27:47 And other people will like other tools like blades and different things, you know, weed whacking. Weed whacking. But this man with efficiency and training, and it's not that much fuel. It's really not that much fuel. Like you can make that out of, um, out of, you know, tallow and, and lard. And, um, yeah, you can cut right, right at the base with this. It'll go through anything. It is this thing will go through trubs bigger than your finger. Like you can cut things as bigger than your thumb. Like, you know, if you can fit it between these blades, it'll cut it.
28:20 And this thing is so powerful and so amazing. And this is one of my favorite farm tools, favorite, favorite, favorite farm tools. You know, the, the, like weed, and plus when you're done weed whacking, you come out clean. So this is, this is like the combi one. It fits on a 131 and smaller still. You can put it on other things. You don't want a too big of an engine to run through this thing. It'll blow it apart. Um, but, but even a 91, it'll work on, and, and, you know, I have stills. You can, you can use this on a Shindawa, a Maruyama, you know, whatever echo, you know, you
28:56 just, as long as you got a square shaft to attach it to, it'll go on and they sell other ones. Like there's cheaper ones on Amazon and different things, but this one, this is the one I have. Freaking love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. It is so epic. Um, so yeah. Um, I don't know. I mean, you know, so other people will go at it, go at it with this type of thing with a blade. It's like, what are you doing? What are you doing? Uh, you know, or what is it? What is this one? Uh, it's just the shaft. Just the shaft. Um, yeah, this, this thing right here, man, this, um, I love it.
29:45 So, um, yeah, anyway, I'm, I'm in the process of rebuilding a weed whacker that just, uh, that I got, and my friend was going to throw it away and I was like, I'll take that able, you know, rebuild it. I basically got, he, he get, I got a extra hit, a whole weed whacker from him. Just, I'm like, these things are fair. They're super easy to rebuild and you could run it. And you could run it. I'm pretty sure you could run it on alcohol and, um, lard, you know, um, just make a mixture like that. I don't know. Maybe so, you know, and, and you'd be better off than, than siding, but maybe, maybe you
30:18 are better off siding. I don't know. I'm just, we, we have a side and I've tried it, you know, I'm just like, uh, I mean, maybe, maybe, but when I have access to this kind of tool, like maybe you could have a side, but there, I don't know. I mean, you could always, you like what, what you're, what you're better. I mean, what you're better at, like you should make sure that you have grinders and ability to take like, um, the, uh, leaf springs out of trucks and make scythes in, in a hammer and an anvil and, in a way to make heat, you know, like a, like a blower where you can make
30:54 heat with wood fire to, to forge scythes and learn, learn blacksmithing, how to quench, feel, you know, and anneal things and quench. And, um, that way you can make scythes, you know, otherwise in the meantime, use, use the still combi and then, but, but learn the blacksmithing and have, have an anvil, have a hammer, get good at it, make, make, make a few scythes, you know, have grinders, have, have, uh, you know, or stones to sharpen with, you know, um, wet stones. And, you know, that, that is what I recommend versus like learning, learning the scythes, man. You're, I mean, sure.
31:36 Learning like scything has its own techniques and things, but I don't, I don't know. Anyway, health is true wealth. That is absolutely true. Um, yeah, we got to get strong, keep strong, eat good food, do natural farming, you know. Um, stonemason got 300 pounds of sugar in the basement. Um, so he doesn't have to jam when the lights go out. Sugar is always a great thing to store. It stores really long time. Um, yeah, smart. I have a little grinder. So if it does solidify up, you can regrind it. Um, yeah, three and 300 pounds of sugar probably would farm you a bunch of seasons.
32:13 Um, you know, I, but I always think, I always think if the, if the grid truly goes down and you're probably going to want to eat that sugar versus turning into your plant food and you're just going to go jam anyway. But, uh, who knows, man? I always think, yeah, having sugar, I do not have a stockpile of sugar right now. I have a lot of things prepped and ready, but I don't have sugar. Uh, you know, I, I don't know why I figured I just, I grow sugar. I don't grow it well enough, but, uh, you know, the energy and, you know, it's going to be a whole new paradigm.
32:42 If I, if I can't go buy sugar, it's a new paradigm and, uh, everything's going to be different. So, um, it'll be wild. Um, oh, it's Kristoff. Okay. Okay. Kristoff, you changed your name, man. Yeah. Um, okay. Yeah. Yeah. I go center. I love wherever you are in the world. You should be doing centropic agriculture, centropic agriculture for the win. Love you, Kristoff. Awesome, man. Yeah. Yeah. Oh man. I always think of the Belgium, the Belgian, my Belgian warrior. Uh, no, I'm doxing you. Whoops. Oh, okay. Um, it's tough sending seeds over there. Yeah. I've been sending seeds to Kenya.
33:27 Um, correct. Yeah. The corrupt things have been. Yeah. That's why, uh, you know, uh, I, I hear the stories that African women used to actually weave seeds into their hair and they would keep the seeds in their hair. Uh, you know, it's hard. It's always been hard to send seeds, man. That's why, you know, people of old knew the things. It's like, I think you got something in your hair. That's, that's my, that's my, uh, that's my investment strategy. You know, I don't know how you keep them from not sprouting. That'd be wild. Maybe it's the oils in the hair. I don't know.
33:58 Um, given up on keeping weed whackers going, the rubber parts die within a year or two. Um, yep. It is that that's the whole thing. That's my whole thing about preparing for the different paradigm is that you are one seal, one bolt away from something breaking to make entire machine obsolete. And it's so nice that we can go on the internet today and push a button and things appear at your door. Uh, you know, it's like, I need this seal for this machine. And it appears, and when we don't have that kiss, you know, you better be, you better be doing some yoga so you can kiss your butt. Goodbye.
34:38 You're going to be bloated on rice and beans and just learning to stretch to kiss your butt. Goodbye. I mean, it's just gonna be such a different paradigm as we have ed further and further into World War three. I don't think we're headed towards a peaceful resolution. I mean, we are dead. It seems like we're dead set on this. So, and, um, you know, be careful, learn this stuff, share this. And practice it today. Otherwise you like, Oh, when the shit hits the fan, I'll do the, I'll do this. It's like, you might want to start doing that now.
35:08 So you have experience instead of being like, when the shit hits the fan, you know, when the manure goes through the grinder, I mean, you're gonna, I'll learn to farm then. Yeah, sure. Sure. Um, yeah. Um. Yeah. Laren, it's always a side hobby, bro. You gotta have a side hustle. I just got a 3d printer. Okay. What was the first thing I printed on my 3d printer? The doom guy. Yeah. Oh, the doom slayer. Slayer. I was out there slaying demons. You know? Yeah. Against all evil.
35:54 We will send to them only you. I've, I've, I've been loving playing doom eternal. I don't know. It's funny. Cause I do all this stuff. I'm talking about peace. And then I just fucking slay demons. It's like, it's kind of like my vent. My way of venting. It's just like all that blood and gore and just blasting demons. It's like, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I get so frustrated with the world. I talk about peace. I talk about all this stuff. And it is like, it's like, I'm like, be peaceful. And then I bomb a country. I'm just like, ah, taken out by slaying demons and doom, doom eternal. You know?
36:33 Like, what do you do? What do you do? Maybe you could just like sit there and meditate and pray and just like find peace and fight. I'm just like, listen to death metal and fucking play doom, bro. Like sometimes, sometimes that's my jam. That's my, that's where I go. Fuck this. Fuck these fucking, fucking dumbasses motherfuckers. Like, fuck. You know, I wrote a, I wrote a song over here. I want, I want a farmer, not a soldier. You know, why get PTSD when you can have me? Why, why go fight for oil when you could be at home building better soil? You know, like lyrics, like, you know, yeah. Yeah.
37:15 Anyway, I just propaganda, bro, gets in your head. It gets in. You think that there's an enemy out there. It's like, bro, they're just need food and love. And yeah, war is inevitable at a certain point where, you know, if we don't manage our populations, you know, there's a scarce resource. And you know, we're not all communists to share. Like, you know, even communism doesn't work. It's like, yeah, yeah. You know, war is inevitable. I'm not saying it's not, but I'm saying that. We're not even trying not to do war. We're not going to do war. Like, yeah. Um, yeah. Um, all right.
37:54 Anyway, uh, let's see here. Okay. Sugar, salt. Keep sugar and salt as your 401k. Yes. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. It is the best investment strategy you can have. Not that and gold. Tell you what, gold, gold, I think will be the world renowned over and gold will always be good. And as our, it's funny, like, you know, people are like the price of gold is going up. I'm like, no, the price of the dollar is falling. Gold is the same price. It's always been same price. It's always been what's happening is the dollar is going to shit. Uh, you know, that's what happens when you're a belligerent empire.
38:31 Uh, population is sick. People are uneducated. They're divided. They're addicted to, to, to drugs and, and social media and their phones disconnected from the soil eating shit food. That's why the dollar, that's why the, you know, gold price is going to, the dollar is going to shit. Cause we're not worth shit anymore. Hello. I mean, I could, I could rage like, like Gerald Salente, you know? Um, but I don't. Instead I print the doom slayer, play doom, you know, take my rage out, uh, in other ways. Um, and put it, you know, put it into the soil, do right, do the right thing.
39:16 I don't know. So anyway, we, yeah, here I've been kind of ranting this whole time. We've been just in this conversation. I tell you what, man, thanks for tuning in. Uh, this has been just a, you know, you can tell it's been an emotional rollercoaster for me, hopefully for you, you know, but I'm trying to give good advice. I'm trying to just talk from the higher power, from the sage, the wanderer, you know, settle the disagreements. We don't know what we're doing. Be nice, be kind, be humble, modesty, be strong, but don't get in disagreements. Settle them early.
39:44 You know, all these things like these, they're just sage advice. Um, how do you make whitewash for fruit trees? Love you, buddy. Um, how do you make whitewash for fruit trees? I think, you know, my friend has this stuff called Mayan rain. I don't know if he sells it on the internet. Let me just look that up. Mayan rain, but he's basically putting, um, oh, here it is chalk. No, no, no, that's, that's different. Um, I don't know if he sells it on the internet, but he, he basically is including clay in there. Um, bentonite clay, I think is what it is. I don't know.
40:26 It's, it's a certain type of clay that they have and he puts clay in there with, with microbes and things. It's a pretty interesting thing. He makes a lot of bold claims on it and he does grow some good stuff. Um, not sure exactly, you know, um, cowlin clay. Yeah. Maybe it's cowlin. Yeah. Um, and he does some things, uh, out there. Um, Tony is his name and he's, he's, uh, president of the East Hawaii Farmers Union, which is great. Um, he's in Puna though. Don't you have a Puna chapter that's defunct? Anyway, Tony, I love him. Great guy. Doing good things.
40:58 I'm the East Hawaii chapter is doing great. They've, they've been really doing well without me. It's fun. It's always nice to see something you've done for years and it survives after you leave, which is good. Great. Love those guys. Um, so yeah, whitewash, uh, you know, clay, clay is super important in natural farming too. I don't talk about it cause it's not one of the core nine solutions. It's just like, you know, I teach you how to build the, your soil. It's like with the tools like tape measure and saw your cowlin clay is more like paint that you're going to apply to something.
41:30 And Master Cho, when he talks about, you know, um, healing trees and their stuff, he wouldn't take like something like oatmeal and make a thick kind of oatmeal-ish paste and mix IMO four into that and stir it up and then put that and rub that as a paste on your trees. And that helps heal bark and those types of things. I'm not sure why you'd want to whitewash something, to be honest. Um, sounds like you're going to lower the, um, the, uh, photosynthesis, uh, potential, but maybe the bark, you know, so taking IMOs, mixing them in oatmeal, those types of things are good.
42:10 Um, uh, keep seeds in my beard. Uh, the only thing I'm keeping in my beard lately is gray hair. Sure. Okay. Cowlin clay on my apples for apple, apple maggot fly. Yeah. So throw a little bit of IMOs with that when you do it. Um, and there's other ways to keep the apple maggot fly away. I, um, I seen people do that and I'm like, yeah, but you're also reducing your trees photosynthesis potential. And so. I, I don't know. I, I would go with a more traditional K and F thing, but I'm also, this is the Korean natural farming podcast. It's not the Cowlin clay podcast.
42:53 Although you could say it's Cowlin natural farming. I don't know what Cowlin means. We'll go with it. Um, yeah, yeah, there's a lot of ways to go with it, but you can also strengthen these things. And if you got apple maggot fly, probably you're in a calcium deficiency. And, um, try to spray the fruit, not the leaves. Yeah. If fruit also uses sunlight to, to grow into it. You, you could. Yeah. Go, go, go ahead. Try and look it up. I mean, I think you're, it's hard for me to say, but I think you'd probably be better doing some natural farming type stuff. So, bro, peace for you, bro.
43:27 Well, frickin Mark, man, I can feel your pain, bro. I've been talking, tune into the beginning of the episode, bro. I've been talking about peace. Mark, if you don't know, Ambruster out there, but he is one of the most peaceful dudes. He had a van that said, uh, veterans for peace. Met him at the Occupy Wall Street protest. I don't know. A thing in Hilo. Freakin amazing dude. Peace is his, his jam. I think he learned it the hard way and he did, he has an amazing story. I'm about to bring in peace to Washington, D.C. And, um, it's about time, bro. It's about time.
44:03 You gotta get, uh, you know, debate the good, good, good peaceful folks and do some, uh, you know, uh, maybe instead of maybe this time, uh, you know, drop the, the peace sign in probiotics. Um, when I use calcium with calcium phosphate or keep them separate, I would use them together, uh, when, when they're called for. Um, you know, one structure, one's the transporters of reproduction. So, with that, you know, man, we, we're getting long, long tooth in the episode about this. And it's probably time to get to a little bit of Master Cho. We were doing question answer sessions.
44:46 So I think this will be a much more boring section to get through, but let's see what, uh, what we got here. So we were in, we're in Muju, which I, I was just learning about Mu non thinking. And I wonder what Ju means. Muju, um, but none, like, maybe it's like the black hole of Korea. I don't know what it means. I gotta, I gotta learn about that. Um, yeah, bro. Time for peace, Mark. Come on. Right. Anyway, love you, brother. Glad you're, you know, doing well. Let's think of that. So, like, huh. Um, yeah, I would use both those on a fruiting persimmon tree for shiz.
45:27 Um, calcium, calcium, phosphate. Always good when the fruits are popping. Do it. Um, all right. So we're in Muju and we are doing a question answer session. Let's see. Let's, let's dive in. What do we got here? And like I said, this, it's going through four languages. So you gotta, you know, take your, take your patience. What you feel of this, the older lessons that you have. And if you have any questions to ask, also ask questions. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
46:12 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
46:57 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
47:42 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
48:27 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
49:12 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
49:57 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
50:42 Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. 7,000 people have watched it. It's like there's billions of people in this world. What are we doing? I don't know. I mean think how many people raise chickens. How many people would benefit from this? Why you guys got to share this stuff. Come on, Bria. Anyway, share the original episode too. I mean you can see it there. You can search for it. It's in the channel. Um, but think of how many people would benefit watching this. It's just like, I, that's like, you know, so I'm like, you know, I spent the entire morning ranting.
51:20 It's like, there's knowledge, bro. It's this that you got to get and you got to download it and you got to put it in your brain and you got to practice it. Uh, cause this is high level stuff. It really is. I call it basic here just cause I was pissed off at these guys. I should probably rename it advanced or whatever, but you know, but then again, life is about the basics. It's about the basics. What do you want to do? You want to, you want to be the master of the basics. You're not, if you're a master of like higher levels, you're learning the basics, bro. Life is about the basics.
51:55 So I'm glad to see many teachers and coordinators. That's number one. And that's the thing, bro. She's talking about this group of folks, this group of folks, man. These are like the, the, the, oh man, what a, what a, what an honor to be part of this group to be there.
52:40 You know, this dude here, man, this is, this is like, oh man, he is, oh, yeah. I think I have his email somewhere, but it's like, I don't even talk to, you know, man, these folks amazing. But I don't even know how to do this. But I don't know how to do this. But I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this. I don't know how to do this.
53:07 I don't know how to do this. Okay. Okay. She and the husband has been doing more than 10 years organic farming in Taiwan. And they have had a lot of questions and problems. But through this one, she had a lot of answers. Those problems that she has had. Very good. Okay. Number three. I mean, God bless these guys too. Think of how hard this is to translate. He's translating it to Japanese. She's translating it from Japanese to Korean. He's doing Korean to English. Like, think of this. Like, you know. Anyway, that was the one difficulty about this thing.
53:48 Is that there were so many languages and like getting a good translator. I mean, man, if we did this today and we had Jibbidi, like, this would be epic. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.

Love the conversation between the members there. But yeah. I'm gonna go do. I got my cows in my front yard. The cows are right outside. I should have showed you guys. I was gonna show you guys some cow photos and things. And doing all that. But it's all good. You know. We'll see you next week. Hopefully. We'll still be here. You know.
1:05:48 We'll see. We'll see. Um. Do good. Love you. Bye. Oh wait. I should do it this way. Do this. All right. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You. You.
