Unripe Banana FPJ

Drake lists unripe fruit and flowers among the material to gather for FPJ, next to growth tips and ripe fruit. (Office Hours Oct 2025, 15:04) He ties unripe-fruit and flower FPJ to the flowering changeover. (Office Hours Ep. 14, 17:40) For banana flowers, his manual says the time of gathering does not seem to matter much. (Pure KNF Manual, p. 38)
For mixing, the Student's Manual gives one method:
- Mix the plant material with sugar in a large bowl. Massage the sugar on until the material turns soft and releases liquid. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 36)
- Pack the mixture into the jar a little at a time, pressing very firmly. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 36)
That method describes mixing and massaging in a bowl, then packing. It does not describe layering. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 36) It is written for leafy tips, not banana fruit.
The library does not say whether to keep fruit, peel and flower together or apart. It also does not say how to handle whole green bananas.
