KNF Powder?

I had a crazy idea of mixing a bit of LAB, FPJ, and WSC with dry rice and then putting it in the blender to make powder that could be sprinkled on the soil every now and then as general plant boost (it would be great to just keep a small bag of it in my backpack and have it always at hand). Would such a thing actually work? And if so, in what proportions/measurements?

From the KNF library

From the KNF library Drafted by Claude from Office Hours and the books · Sep 2026 · 2 sources

The library has no recipe for a dried powder of LAB, FPJ and WSC on rice. It gives no ratios for one.

What it does give is LAB diluted in water. The handout dilutes LAB at 1:1,000, mixes it with a plant nutrient solution such as FPJ, and sprays it on leaves. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 15)

For soil, a Drake handout lists 22.5 ml (4.5 tsp) of LAB in 3 gallons of water for 200 square feet. It says to water it evenly on soil and plants, or use a sprayer. (Cho's Solutions, p. 19)

The handout also warns about dose. Too much LAB on fruit crops may lower their sweetness. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 15)

The library says nothing about powders, dried rice as a carrier, or WSC in this mix. Drake would need to weigh in on that.
