IMO Drone Army for Fire Prevention, FPJ Alcohol Smell, Biochar

Drake opens with the Lahaina fires and pitches a drone-sprayer army: liquid IMO and plant-exudate extracts sprayed onto dry land let lactobacillus and IMO microbes penetrate the soil, pull condensation out of humid air, and turn tinderbox ground back into moist, less flammable land. He logged 5.95 acres in 21 flights and about 79.83 gallons of liquid solution the day before. He ties the bigger picture to tillage and chemical agriculture as the real driver of dry, carbon-shedding soil and climate instability.

Farmer questions: fermenting FAA with salt instead of sugar (works, but saltier), whether FPJ should smell faintly of alcohol (normal in small amounts, a strong alcohol smell means it wasn't supersaturated with enough sugar), and whether a sealed 55-gallon biochar burn will absorb water-soluble potash elements when doused (yes, and dousing with diluted IMO or maintenance solution instead of plain water inoculates the char).

Later: getting FAA Part 107 certified to fly commercial drones (about $150, 60% to pass), the difference between knfProtectors and EM-1 (EM-1 adds purple non-sulfur bacteria and yeast, supplementary solutions not among the nine core), using knfProtectors to make bokashi that preserves buried food for weeks, and putting LAB and IMO into septic tanks or RV black/gray tanks (LAB is strongly beneficial, IMO likely fine). Drake also traces his own KNF history: learning from Dr. Park and Ginger John in late 2007, training with Master Cho in Korea in 2009, and getting his master certification in 2011.

Questions answered

  • 10:35 Can you ferment fish fertilizer (FAA) with salt instead of sugar? — Yes, salt works, but it will taste saltier; the sugar version is tasty and more pleasant to eat.
  • 12:36 Could a drone army spraying liquid IMO help prevent fires like the Lahaina blaze? — Getting microbes and IMO down into dry soil pulls moisture from the air into the ground, making the land less like a tinderbox.
  • 21:31 What's really driving climate change and fire risk? — Tillage and chemical agriculture dry out and kill the soil microbiome, releasing carbon and drying the land.
  • 27:29 Can FPJ have a slight alcoholic smell or taste? Is that okay? — A slight alcohol smell is normal, but a strong one means it wasn't supersaturated with enough sugar.
  • 30:26 I make biochar in a sealed 55-gallon drum. Will it absorb the water-soluble potash elements when I put out the fire? — Yes, and dousing the char with diluted IMO or maintenance solution instead of plain water inoculates it even better.
  • 32:22 Can I store knfFood and knfFuel together, and does FPJ mixed with FAA make a good fish sauce? — You can, but don't store big batches together; mix each solution fresh as you use it.
  • 36:41 Why doesn't the KNF Solutions calculator app work on older Android phones? — It's fixable; Drake just needs his other computer back from his wife to update and re-sign the app.
  • 44:12 How do I become a commercial drone operator for the KNF drone army? — Get FAA Part 107 certified as a UAS operator, about $150, and a 60% score to pass.
  • 47:28 What year did Drake first learn KNF, and did Master Cho come to Big Island in 2008? — Master Cho first visited Big Island in 2005; Drake started learning from Dr. Park and Ginger John in late 2007, then trained with Master Cho in Korea in 2009.
  • 58:39 How can knfProtectors be used to make bokashi, and can it preserve food? — Bokashi made with knfProtectors can bury and preserve food for weeks underground, and it comes out more nutritious.
  • 1:01:52 What are the ups and downs of putting LAB and IMO into a septic tank or an RV's black and gray tanks? — Lactic acid bacteria is hugely beneficial for septic and RV tanks that stink or clog; he's less sure about IMO but thinks it's fine.
  • 1:04:05 What's the difference between knfProtectors and EM-1? — EM-1 also contains purple non-sulfur bacteria and yeast, supplementary KNF solutions not part of the nine core like the lactic acid protectors.
  • 1:07:08 Is there a way to make cheap alcohol for OHN (knfMedicine)? — Talk to people in prison, it's called prison wine, then run it through a still to distill it.
