Colorado Potato Beetle IPM, OHN for Digestion, Free RTK GPS

Announcements open the show: today is the monthly Pure KNF Foundation membership meeting, and the Hilo natural farming potluck is Tuesday, January 13, 6-8pm at Komohana, covering KNF food (fermented plant juice). Pure KNF also runs a free RTK2Go real-time kinematic base station that broadcasts a GPS correction signal to anyone nearby. This week's weather: 74 degrees, 70% humidity, 330 watts per square meter of solar radiation, and 5.49 inches of rain.

From KNF Support, Drake pulls up a Colorado potato beetle question Goof answered: use a structure formula to harden leaves so insects can't bite, applied weekly as part of an IPM program alongside nutrient cycle sprays. Drake's 2026 goal is to consolidate KNFsupport.com's Q&A into Pure KNF Foundation and these office hours instead of running them as separate sites.

Drake demos a tool he built with Claude Code: a local AI search system (Ollama plus a vector database) that searches every past video transcript, summarizes matching clips, and cuts the exact footage with ffmpeg from his video library.

He pulls a clip from an old Level 2 class on OHN (Oriental Herbal Nutrient). The point: define KNF inputs by what they do, not their ingredient list. OHN's herbs share one job, aiding digestion, and are antipathogenic. Drake also pushes back on calling garlic "antimicrobial," saying that claim isn't true.
