Animal Feed From Manure, IMO1 Mixing, Fish Amino Acid

So anyway, I'm glad to be here. Glad you're here. Glad Natural Farming is still growing. Glad that, you know, life is good. So let's start off with a little bit of higher wisdom.
1:45 Today, set up properly. Today is modesty. The creative acts to empty what is full and offer abundance to what is modest. This hexagram suggests that deepening one's modesty now is a sure means of improving the situation. There's no power so great as modesty for compelling the assistance of the sage, nor one so hindering as immodesty. Those in high places who retain their modesty are loved by all and continually prosper.
2:31 Those below who cultivate modesty inevitably rise on the strengths of their merits without making enemies along the way. But what does modesty mean? Certainly, it entails a refusal to boast or act imperiously with others, even in small ways. But beyond this steadfast humility, it also means our effort to discern what is right, and then do it. And do it is constant. And then do it is constant. We do not work against ourselves, and we do not indulge in doubts about the wisdom of correct conduct. This unwavering commitment to what is correct might be called the modesty before the sage.
3:25 There is in modesty a component of non-action. That is, not indulging in arrogant, ego-centered behaviors, as well as a component of active effort. Looking for opportunities to correct ourselves, to assist justice where there is injustice, and to feed where there is hungry, to give solace where there is pain. Finally, and most plainly, modesty means holding to innocence, sincerity, and openness in every situation. To do this is to empty yourself and make room for the blessings of the creative to take root.

But, like, farming life. I don't know. How do you farm without natural farming?
6:10 You just go, like, buy a bunch of stuff from the store, and then, like, supposedly put it on the plants, and, like, think you're doing good? I don't know. What do you do without natural farming? Anyone know? I don't know. No. You know, so if other people are doing that, I don't know. What are they doing if you're not doing natural farming? Like, how are you not, like, inoculating your soil with indigenous microorganisms? Are you ignoring lactobacillus being one of the most helpful microorganisms around?
6:43 How are you not making ferments and either doing, you know, madadge, like, terrible, disgustingly cheap way, or doing Master Cho's way of, like, actually extracting plant juices, and then fermenting them to make vinegar, and then combining that, and then adding, you know, I mean, the herbs. I guess, you know, you could say, like, the KNF medicine, the OHN, is a kind of over-the-top, like, well, okay, so you're going to ferment, and you're going to make a plant juice, but then you're going to tincture it, and then you're going to use the herbs to make health products for your plants.
7:18 It's like, okay. I can see that being, like, a stretch where people are like, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's too far for me. I just buy stuff from the store. You know, like, I don't know. I'm dissolving, like, bones in calcium, eggshells in calcium, you know, burning bones. I don't know. It seems so basic, simple. Fish amino acid, like, taking, like, you know, blood meal, bone meal, like, fermenting it, putting it out there, water-soluble. You know, like, you just, I don't know. Maybe you just take egg.
7:49 I guess, actually, a lot of people I talk to, they take eggshells and crush it up, and then just sprinkle it out there, and thinking that they're putting calcium out there. Which is, like, true, you are, but, like, the uptake, it takes, like, a year to go from the ground up into the canopy. And, yeah, why not just dissolve it with a little bit of vinegar and then spray it on the leaves where it's needed? I don't know. So, anyway, it puzzles me what people are doing besides natural farming, besides Korean natural farming. You know, maybe they're doing EM, bokashis. I don't know.
8:25 What are people that? Um, maybe they just, like, yeah, I don't know. You know, if you can't buy it at the store, you're not going to do it. It's, uh, I don't have time for that. I'm too busy, uh, I don't know. I don't know. I guess, I think OHN or the IMO process could be intimidating. I can get that, right? Um, so, um, so, Lee here says, just a quick question. He's got some pretty good IMO1 collection tonight. Do you have a collection tonight? Do I break up all the lumps? Some are about an inch. I've got a pretty good IMO1 collection tonight.
9:11 I don't understand, like, um, maybe it's night where you are. Maybe, maybe, uh, maybe that's why I'm getting confused, because I'm like, tonight? Like, it seems like it's in the future, but maybe you, because you're in England, maybe it is night there. So, maybe right now you've got a collection. So, the IMO1 process would be to take the, you know, after you've collected rice, it's, you know, has the nice, uh, biology on it, is to take whatever that is, weigh it, and if it's one kilogram, then add one kilogram of brown sugar.
9:45 And you mix that together, and you mix it, so that you get the sugar completely in there, and you just make it into a, like, think like making dough. Like, you're gonna mix all that together, so that it is, the sugar is everywhere. You don't just take the clumps and then throw sugar at it. You, you, you need it in there. Um, so that it is mixed really well. And yeah, you, you break it up. I mean, I, I, usually, I'm confused too, because it says somewhere about an inch. Like, when I collect IMO, the entire loaf of rice is solid, and like, um, like, it's like a, um,
10:24 like a miso, um, it's, it's like, it's actually like filled with, um, uh, microbes. Um, you know, you can pick it up and dangle it. Um, and so, yeah, so. Um, so, yeah, mix all that, so. I mean, I, I guess, yeah. So, I guess there is complexity to the whole thing of doing a few, maybe that's. Yeah, yeah, break it all up, knead it, knead it, like, uh, like, mush the sugar into the entire thing. And, um, just equal weight of sugar. And it should be, it should be golden. And I use brown sugar. Or you could use white sugar, I suppose, but, um, I don't know.
11:08 Where it's at, the minerals and everything you need. So, um, so with that, we're, we're, you know, already, what, I did a bunch in the greenhouse this week. Nice. It's been raining. Finally, it's raining. It hasn't been here. But, uh, nice. And then my wife was turning IMO, but the water came under the greenhouse into the IMO pile. And she abandoned her second IMO pile. Um, yeah. Oh, life's hard sometimes. Um, but here we are. Here we are. Over here in Muju, still. Hanging out. Yeah, Demerara is the best. Um, yep.
11:54 Yep, yep, yep, yep. Yep. And, um, so we were here, we were, um, we made a bunch of, we turned basically cow manure into, um, animal feed by mixing IMO4 into it. Enough IMO4 to ferment it, to take it from a nasty, uh, you know, dute smell. Dutes. It's a good Hawaiian word for you. Dutes. Uh, and then to mix the microbes in there to then transform it, uh, so that it comes out with no smell and it's been fermented. Uh-oh. Let's see. What else? Um, and, um, so that's where we left and then we were just about to load some of this
12:40 into the Jawa tractor to go bring it over to actually make animal feed. So we're right here. So we're right here. Doing that. Um, so, um, yeah. So, um, yeah. Mute it here. See where we're at. So I think, uh, so he takes the, after the manures, um, and mix with IMO, he's putting this black, uh, weed mat over it just to keep it out of the sun. Because if you're trying to brew IMOs in direct sunlight, they like 70% shade. So just putting this cover over it, it's, it's loose enough that it's, it'll be breathable. Um, and the weed mat is semi-breathable.
13:21 Um, it'd be best to cover this with, like, rice straw or straw or grass or banana leaves or some sort of thing. Cover that way. But, um, this tarp will work. So let's see. What are we up to? Onion seeds? Yeah. You ever seen an onion make seeds? Man, it's beautiful. Such a weird thing. It grows this long thing and then at the tip puts up. Onions are so weird.
14:11 So we loaded up a bunch of manure into the cart. And these carts, man. These, these carts are fairly epic. Let's see. Why did I go back 10 seconds? Okay. This cart here. So this is how much manure we loaded up. So this is fermented two weeks. Two weeks. This is, uh, manure plus IMO4. And completely transformed the manure into animal feed. Now. And last week, if you didn't catch it, he was talking about using cow manure. Don't use horse manure for this, for animal feeds. Um, because that, uh, the horses take out all the vitamins versus the cows leave all the vitamins in there.
14:51 They don't need, cows don't need vitamins. Well, actually they do, but for some reason their manure is very rich in it. So here you go. This is how much we loaded up. And we are moving it over to his next place to make animal feed. So look at that dumping action. Look at that. Wow. I think, is this his, his farm assistant? I think it might be his farm assistant. Okay. He looks like he's very familiar with how to operate this machine. Here we go. So this was, you know, we're, we're doing animals. Look at all. This is master Lee's, um, chickens. So check, check all these out. Yeah. Chill.

Back in the machine? Because he dumped it in the wrong place. I don't know. But what is Dr. Park talking about? Sea water. Yeah. Ocean water is 1 to 30 dilution. And, uh, you added LB plus yeast. Oh no. So that was, the manure is dumped there. And then they're loading the IMO 3 into that, I think. Or 4 or whatever. They made some IMOs. And he's given some sort of recipe of the liquids we're going to add into there.
16:18 So seawater 1 to 30 almost always, right? Yeast and LAB. Both those microbes make sense to be adding to this. So, let's see. So you're going to ferment again. With the IMO 5. Yeah, we brought it from the other side. So we're going to ferment the manure plus IMO 4 with something else and more stuff. So the whole key to making waste into usable stuff is fermentation. Um. No, I was late today. To, uh, today. I started about half hour. Like, you know, I started late today. So, yeah. If you only got the pop-up now, it makes sense. I mean, the cow manure plus IMO 4.
17:02 So all the smells of the cow manure is hot. I'm not going to be super judgmental here. But this seems like an extreme waste to this machine. To load it into this machine and then load it here. Maybe they were measuring it out. But couldn't you have just shoveled it from there into there? Like, just thrown it over that wall instead of throwing it into this? I, you know, it can be a little judgmental.
17:49 It's like, why do you have to bring a machine into this? I don't know. I think sometimes when you have a machine, you feel like you gotta use a machine. But literally, you could have just shoveled it from there to there. I mean, why did you have to bring a machine into that equation? I don't know. Maybe it's habit. Maybe it's different things. No, Crypto, you don't have to change your name, bro. I just, I like hassling you. You don't have to change it. Can you still use Rice Bran and LAB? Yes.

So again, you know, these ratios, you're just trying to get, you know, the manure is already fermented, but each time you're trying to incorporate more microbes, more microbial life, more minerals, more of those things. So interesting. So again, mixing the manure, more microbes.
19:22 So again, we've already mixed, I think it was one to 10 manure to IMO 4 to get that fermentation. And now you're adding more IMO. So IMO, huge, huge component in animal feeds, fermentation type of thing. Isn't it cool, man? If you had a farm where you had, you know, pallets of things stacked. I'm so like, I don't have equipment on my farm. I have a tractor, but I don't have forks to like lift and load and move. Look at these nice, this mixer. All these bins and things. All that.
