Troubleshooting less than desired IMO culturing results

I have been practicing jadam for around 7 months now and have noticed some visible results with added jlf and seawater but am still puzzled why i cant get great foamnness as shown on multiple platforms. I have tried multiple different food sources with cooked potatoes and mixed or brown rice as best results. Variables i keep in mind and use such as placement of container in as much sun as possible, the prescribed leaf mold soil, sea salt and food ratios, and plenty of massaging extracting foodinto a mash and extracting the juices and a tight lid. Are there any other variables i should highly consider or do any further fine tuning of current jms steps? Any info would help. Mahalo Zane.

From the KNF library

The library says JMS mostly feeds existing biology as a prebiotic. It does not deliver Master Cho's actual IMO microbes. (Office Hours Ep. 14, 55:30)

Cho's IMO collection notes list variables to check. (Cho, Recipe, p. 11)

  • Watch leaf mold moisture. Too wet gives an anaerobic condition. Too dry, IMO is hardly collected. (Cho, Recipe, p. 11)
  • Mix moist leaf mold with dry fallen leaves. (Cho, Recipe, p. 11)
  • Do not collect in the rainy season. (Cho, Recipe, p. 11)
  • Spray OHN, FPJ, brown rice vinegar and mineral A instead of plain water. (Cho, Recipe, p. 11)

Drake does not recommend cutting water in the IMO process. (Office Hours Ep. 149, 39:21)

The library says nothing about foam, sun, lid tightness or the JMS steps themselves.
