Drake recommends spraying weekly and alternating through the nutrient cycle. (Office Hours Ep. 112, 31:35) He matches the formula to the plant's stage on the KNF growth-cycle chart. (Office Hours Ep. 16, 58:51)

Cho describes fruit crops as mixing leaf growth and reproductive growth in one plant. (Cho, Theory, p. 106) For these crops, he sprays the roots and leaf sides whenever three nodes are added to the stem. The aim is a longer harvest and a bigger yield. (Cho, Theory, p. 106)

Before the first flowers, Cho supplies phosphate and boron to tomatoes. (Cho, Theory, p. 107)

The library does not say how to sequence sprays for indeterminate tomatoes beyond this.
