From the KNF library

From the KNF library Drafted by Claude from Office Hours and the books · Sep 2026 · 6 sources

The library covers substitutes for the mineral solutions, but not livestock use.

Cho's book says the name Mineral implies it is derived from rocks. (Cho, Recipe, p. 83)

One substitute is diluted seawater. The Pure KNF manual describes diluting it to the same salinity as your blood, so plants can absorb the trace minerals. (Pure KNF Manual, p. 70) For spraying leaves, Drake gives a dilution of 1:20 to 1:30, with calcium. (Office Hours Ep. 77, 21:11)

Far from the ocean, Drake recommends rock powders:

The library does not say how to give any of these to livestock, or in what amounts. Drake would need to see your animals and setup to advise.
