KNF L.A.B (WITH RICE BRAN)

Sir, Please can you suggest me making Rice Bran L.A.B.,   what is the dilution in making RICE BRAN L.A.B,   It's for making corn silage for livestock.

The answer

From the KNF library

From the KNF library Drafted by Claude from Office Hours and the books · Sep 2026 · 3 sources

The library adds a barrel ratio, a ripeness sign, and a quick method.

  • Drake's office hours say to moisten the rice bran with diluted lacto serum, keep it under 50% moisture, and seal it airtight for two weeks until it smells sour. (Office Hours Ep. 35, 45:47)
  • For a barrel, Drake fills it with rice bran, adds about a gallon of LAB per 50 gallon barrel, and seals it. The LAB grows through the bran like a Bokashi. (Office Hours Ep. 125, 48:48)
  • For a quick batch, stir rice bran into water and let it sit. It colonizes with LAB fast. Use it right away. (Office Hours Ep. 155, 57:16)

The first two methods differ. One dilutes the serum before moistening the bran. The other adds LAB straight to the bran. (Office Hours Ep. 35, 45:47) (Office Hours Ep. 125, 48:48)

The library describes the quick method for pig and chicken feed, not silage. (Office Hours Ep. 155, 57:16) It gives no dilution figure for the serum and says nothing about corn silage.
