KNF in intensive market garden

Hi! We run a syntropic market garden and when I go to apply KNF solutions, there are times when in the same raised bed some plants are at the vegetative stage while some others are entering the changeover phase. What happens is that the FAA that I apply on leafy greens drops (a little) on the flowering okra, and the WSC that I apply on the flowering okra drops on the leafy greens. Is that a problem, and if so, how big? Thank you!

From the KNF library

From the KNF library Drafted by Claude from Office Hours and the books · Sep 2026 · 4 sources

The library explains why the two solutions get timed apart.

  • FAA holds very simple amino acids that help rapidly grow leafy material. (Pure KNF Manual, p. 31)
  • Cho does not recommend FAA during reproductive growth, since it may induce overgrowth. (Cho, Recipe, p. 51)
  • Fruit calcium (WCA) aids the formation of fruits and seeds. (Cho's Solutions, p. 1)
  • At the change from growing to fruiting, supplemental food can ease the shift. (Pure KNF Manual, p. 27)

So the library points to FAA on the greens and calcium on the okra. (Cho, Recipe, p. 51) (Cho's Solutions, p. 1)

The library gives no drift limit. It says nothing about what calcium does when it lands on leafy greens.
