Hi natural farmers. I’m making JADAM solution. I was wondering what’s the difference between worker microbes and fertiliser microbe. I know it’s to do with time the brew is fermented. Should I do both procedures to get both types of microbes? Thanks

It is best to only use the worker microbes that is when the JMS is at its peak and the best to be used in our gardens to spread the right microbes into the soil ( :waving hand: these are the droids you are looking for ) the fertilizer microbes are more the after thought of when the JMS has been left to long and is not the peak we are looking for but are not useless and can still be used to do something in our gardens by feeding the good microbes

The library says JMS builds soil microbes in 24 to 48 hours. (Office Hours Ep. 2, 56:55) It calls JMS fast, cheap and less refined than IMO, but a good way to get started. (Office Hours Ep. 58, 24:27) It mostly feeds the life already in your soil, as a prebiotic. (Office Hours Ep. 14, 55:30)
What the library gives for making and using it:
- Per 132 gallons of water, use 1.1 pounds leaf mold from the top inch of forest soil, 2.2 pounds boiled potato and 1.1 pounds sea salt. (Office Hours Ep. 138, 53:08)
- Dilute 1:100 to 1:500. Apply twice, a week apart, before sowing. (Office Hours Ep. 27, 22:18)
- Yong Song Cho recommends applying the diluted soil solution three to four times a month, roughly weekly, during the growing season. (Office Hours Ep. 128, 15:45)
The library does not name "worker" and "fertilizer" microbes. It does not say when a brew changes from one to the other, or whether to run both procedures.
