If you don’t have access to sea water can you dilute Sea90 with water for a similar effect ?
Top answer
yes ...i went with average salinity of the ocean to make my SW out of sea90 ....3.5% salinity that is 33g per QT of water

The library gives two ways to build it from sea salt, and both work at field strength.
- Add 30 grams of sea salt per liter to make 3% seawater. Then dilute it 1:10 for 0.3% or 1:30 for 0.1% for field use. (Office Hours Ep. 71, 24:14)
- Or skip the stock. Use 1 gram of sea salt per liter of fresh water. (Cho's Solutions, p. 15)
- For a big batch, the Pure KNF Manual lists 120 g of sea salt in 30 gallons of oxygenated water. (Pure KNF Manual, p. 53)
One difference matters. Drake's manual says the top inch of seawater near the shore holds the sea's microbes, and that this is what you bring to worn-out soil. (Pure KNF Manual, p. 53)
The library does not name Sea90. It does not say whether salt alone gives the same microbial effect as fresh seawater.
