Hi, I have downloaded you calculator app for the solutions. I want to know the dilution ration of the solution at the time of foliar spraying the solutions. Regards, Kanchi

From the KNF library

From the KNF library Drafted by Claude from Office Hours and the books · Sep 2026 · 7 sources

The library adds a few solution-specific ratios to Leo's rule of thumb.

  • OHN is mixed at 1:1000. Drake's manual uses 1:1500 if plants are stressed or the OHN is older than 6 months. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 27)
  • LAB is also 1:1000, so not every solution sits at 500:1. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 18)
  • The university FPJ sheet in the manual gives a 1:500 preparation table. (Student's Manual, Basic Course, p. 35)
  • Protectors use a standard 1:1000. For active blight, Drake says bump it to around 1:700 or even 1:500. (Office Hours Ep. 129, 41:09)

In drought, Drake says you can't go wrong diluting more. (Office Hours Ep. 79, 37:55)

Sources differ on ratios. Drake says even Master Cho's own literature changed over time and in translation, so treat ratios as guidelines. (Office Hours Ep. 74, 21:17) Another answer says the Android app matches Master Cho's numbers exactly. (Office Hours Ep. 67, 38:09)

The library does not give a full chart of foliar ratios for all nine solutions.
