Bulb onions
Top answer
From the KNF library
The library defines the growth periods but says nothing about bulb onions.
Drake describes the crossover period as the "puberty period between vegetation and fruiting, when things are flowering." (Office Hours Ep. 54, 18:05) Another talk puts it this way: the changeover period is flowering into small fruits, and the cumulative period comes after that. (Office Hours Ep. 65, 35:02) The KNF Demystified guide calls it the point where a plant recognizes it is about to flower and makes that transition. (KNF Demystified, p. 5)
Drake also says leaf inputs do not all go on at the start and fruit inputs at the end. You oscillate between the two. (Office Hours Ep. 65, 57:00)
The library gives no timing for bulb onions. It does not say whether they stay in leaf growth. Drake would need to see your crop to say where it sits.
