Alternatives to rice hulls
Would chaff made from bamboo leaves be ok as a substitute for rice hulls in making IMO?

Mill run is the ideal IMO3 and IMO4 carbohydrate in Drake's office hours. It is the bran left from milling white rice, and it gives the right balance of fats, oils, and carbs. Dog food works as a substitute (Office Hours Ep. 31, 31:49).
Cho's IMO3 method mixes diluted IMO2 with rice bran (Cho, Theory, p. 54). Cho also says the process varies from farm to farm with local materials, while the principle stays the same (Unravelling the Mysteries of KNF, p. 56).
The library does not mention rice hulls in IMO. It says nothing about bamboo leaf chaff as a stand-in for them. Bring the question to office hours before you swap it in.
